The Death card scares a lot of people as they think it means physical death. This is rarely the case. One of the Major Arcana cards, it indicates Divine influence (in this case, Anubis) in affecting change. The death it usually refers to is death of a belief, idea, or problem. Something that has to change for the better - or "die" - so something else can be reborn.
This card reminds us to be flexible and the scales remind me of balance - of perhaps letting some things go (die) so you can get back to balance and your strength.
